Goals:
The customer is experiencing consistency issues with fumed silica. Alternative mineral-based products were unsuccessful due to consistency and color.
  • Maintain sag control
  • Produce material at manageable viscosity levels
  • Provide superior consistency and color
Details:
The customer was able to replace fumed silica with Rheospan®AS, resulting in excellent sag control and improvements in color and viscosity consistency.
Advantages: The customer made a substitution in the formula without any other material or process changes.
