Technical Alliances Nanocor has secured a license from Toyota Central R&D Labs, Inc., covering its patented technology for nylon nanocomposites, which is based on onium ion clay surface modification. We make this technology available to customers on a worldwide basis. We have formed additional technology alliances with key players in the plastics industry. For example, New Castle Industries, a premier manufacturer of extrusion screws, produces the NanoTMMixer screw, specially designed for single screw dispersion. Nanocor is also a member of the NIST Flammability of Polymer Clay Nanocomposites Consortium. Alliances like these broaden the application window for nanocomposites, making the technology more user-friendly.
