Abstract: Nanomer concentrates are formed by combining at least 6% and up to 40% Nanomer nanoclays with monomer and conducting a polymerization to build nylon molecular weight to a number average weight (Mn) of no more than 25,000. The concentrates are suitable for letdown into high molecular weight resin using compounding technology, forming a nanocomposite.
